JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (August 15, 2023) – Mac Papers and Packaging, one of the largest paper and packaging distributors in the Southeast U.S., is pleased to announce a number of leadership changes designed to position our business to better support our customers, deepen our relationships with our suppliers and improve the employee experience.

Craig Boortz, a highly respected industry veteran who has been with Mac Papers and Packaging for 31 years, has been named President & Chief Commercial Officer.  Craig has held a variety of commercial leadership roles during his tenure with Mac Papers and Packaging including Branch Manager, Regional Manager and Executive Vice-President for Fine Papers.  In his new role, Craig will be responsible for all of our regional commercial resources, inside sales, customer service, our envelopes business unit and national accounts.

Chris McCabe, who joined the company in August 2014, has been named Chief Growth Officer.  Since joining Mac Papers and Packaging, Chris has led our packaging business unit enabling significant growth of this critical platform within our business in his role, Chris will now be responsible for all growth initiatives and platforms across the company, including our packaging and wide format business units, corporate strategy, corporate development and marketing

We are also pleased to announce the additions of Steve DeVoe as Chief Operating Officer and Field Jones as Senior Vice President of Strategic Sourcing.

Steve brings 30+ years of operational and commercial experience to the organization.  He has held senior leadership roles in both paper and packaging manufacturing and distribution businesses.  In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Steve will be responsible for branch operations, logistics, envelope and corrugate box converting and our environment, health and safety programs.

Field 20+ years of experience building strategic sourcing and procurement organizations across the paper and packaging industry.  As a key consulting partner to Mac Papers and Packaging, Field was a partner in developing our current sourcing and procurement capabilities.  In his role as Senior Vice President of Strategic Sourcing, Field, working closely with our business unit leaders, will be responsible for our sourcing strategy, product category management, inventory management and the procure-to-pay process.
